Tim applied to six anesthesia schools for the first round of applications. Only one school in Oregon granted him an interview. We got the "thanks for playing, try again" letter from Oregon today.
Tim applied with the bare minimum experience requirement (1 year), knowing that he wasn't the strongest candidate yet. But where there is no risk, there is no reward. So we tried.
Luckily, we don't have to wait an entire year to do a new round of applications. We can apply this Spring to a new set of schools that have a different admission season. So that is going to be our project for the next few months.

I think it was pretty amazing that Tim got an interview at all the first time. Keep trying, it only takes one yes!
