We got a miracle!!!

So, we have been really stressed trying to find a unit in the hospital that would hire Tim. It has been the strangest thing in the whole world because there just have not been very many openings, and when a new job is posted it is filled before they even contact Tim for an interview. Tim came to work at this hospital because they promised him that he could get straight into the ICU. That didn't happen.

Tim interviewed for a job in the critical care resource pool as kind of a last resort. The job works you in various critical care settings throughout the hospital. You only have to work one weekend a month and you have your schedule four weeks in advance! In the interview Tim asked if there was any possibility to work days because it would be very hard on our family life if he worked nights. The interviewer said that there were in fact some day positions available. Tim told him he was very interested.

At work today Tim got a call on his cell phone. He doesn't ever answer his phone at work because he is at work usually taking care of a patient. Well today, he felt like he should take the call, so he did. It was HR offering him the job. Yee-haw! HR told him that there was one day and one night position available and asked him which one he wanted. If he hadn't answered his phone then, I am sure the other person getting the job would have taken the day shifts. Who doesn't want to work days?

You know, I have left out many details, but we really feel like the Lord's hand has been in the whole process. Not just in getting the job. After the trial of your faith you reap the blessings. How grateful we are to have landed this job! It will really take a load off us (especially Tim). This really is a miracle the way all of this has panned out. It is amazing that a new grad RN got a day job. We are soooo blessed!

Congratulations Tim! Sorry I didn't get to see you on Saturday when you came up with your dad; maybe I will get luckier on Labor Day.

YEAH!!! CONGRATS!! WAHOO!! I am so happy for you Tim. I haven't had to work a night shift yet and have actually been hired for night shift every time! The Lord knows what you can handle and he will take care of it. Yeah for that. Resource pool is actually not that bad, it will provide a lot of good experience for you, especially being in a big hospital. Good luck Tim. (Such a relief for Tara and Audry too.) :)
